Georgetown College track and field continues to take steps forward. Mid-April the team had several scoring individuals, several all Mid-South Conference honorees and even more individuals pushing for scoring spots in ninth place.

"Track and field is a building process," said coach Lucas Garnett. "It has been exciting to watch the program grow. This year it really started to pay dividends. We saw great marks, personal bests, team bests and development at the conference level.

"I know everyone wants to make huge leaps, but first you have to take the right steps to solidify the base. We've done that."
