[Cross Country] Tiger harriers start strong in LouisvillePublished by
It has been a long race to this point – one even a marathon runner would need extra stamina to endure. Saturday, when the gun went off, Georgetown College's harriers were back on the course. The distance runners had not run in competition since February during indoor season. It all shutdown before the Tigers were to be on the track for outdoor. GC did not waste the opportunity. On the men's side, it was good to be healthy. The team has fought injuries over the past two seasons, but at full strength Georgetown posted its fastest averaged in more than five years. Paced by rookie Nick Clark, scoring runners were within 38 seconds of each other, while the sixth and seventh runners finished within 1:17 of Clark. The team finished third.
