[Women's Cross Country] Tiger women finish second, men fourthPublished by
Georgetown College cross country teams are proving they thrive in rain. It was a sheer downpour a week ago in South Carolina where Anna Wells posted the 11th best time in school history. Saturday the Tigers took to a sloppy course in Wilmore, Ky. and showed a little rain means nothing to them. The women were the top NAIA finisher, taking second by a point. Since buzzer-beaters and thrilling finishes are in the cards for the Tigers this weekend, the harriers decided to have one of their own. Top five runners are the scoring positions, but a team's sixth and seventh runners' positions can be highly important in figuring out final scoring. Our racers in those spots beat out Midway University's fifth place, scoring position, giving the Eagles extra points and putting Georgetown in the second spot out of seven teams.
