Georgetown College Director of Athletics Brian Evans is pleased to announce coach Lucas Garnett has been elevated to full time as director of cross country and track and field. Garnett has been guiding the Tigers' cross country, men and women, as well as the track and field, men and women, teams for the past three seasons in part time roles.

"These teams deserve to have someone who is full time managing the programs," Evans said. "I know Lucas is the right person. He's done tremendous things, while balancing being a professor. We have a great opportunity to be even more successful with his full energies on these teams with one of the greatest potentials for growth as well."

Do not allow the title director confuse anything. He will remain as coach for both programs, but with a joint elevation Evans decided director was a full arch of his job responsibilities.
