Maggie Mollak and Emma Bianchi made the most of their respective 2018 NAIA National Track and Field Championship experience this past weekend in Gulf Shores, Ala. Both finished higher than the ranking they came into with and both had moments to challenge for top finishes.

"I've been around a lot of these experiences and first timers can get distracted by all the surroundings, getting caught up in the moment," said GC coach Lucas Garnett, a national championship Tiger competitor during his Georgetown days. "I was very impressed with the maturity Maggie and Emma displayed, which included waiting or dealing with the potential wait through weather situations.

"Both women improved upon their start and had Georgetown history making days."
