[Track & Field] Tigers shine in Twilight meetPublished by
Georgetown College men's and women's track teams traveled to Danville this weekend for the Centre College Twilight Meet. The Tigers had several impressive performances and saw a lot of improvement in just their third meet. The men finished seventh with 44 points, while the women were eighth with 27 points. Highlighting the meet was the men's 4x400 meter dash relay of Amir Ziyad, Erick Mills, Austin Keene and Grant Carr. The Tigers won the event with a time of three minutes 27 seconds and 31 one-hundredths of a second. The top spot tallied 10 points for the team. Dustin Wheeler became the second best Tiger in the 1,500-meter run with his time of 4:07.25 to finish sixth in the race and score three points.
