[Cross Country] Letting the blessings flow, cross country cross helps make the ball special

Comments

The evening is called a Blessing Ball for a reason. It is not just a kind gesture to a special group of individuals, but a full on blessing for everyone involved. Georgetown College men's and women's cross country teams once again participated in this fun filled evening at Leesburg Christian Church.

"We had 22 go this year, that's four more than last year and many of them have been looking forward to this since we left the ball a year ago," said GC coach Lucas Garnett. "All our volunteers spent the evening dining, dancing and playing games with their special guests."

Each student-athlete had a wide variety of experiences as some of their dates wanted to boogie all night long, never leaving the dance floor; others wanted to have long conversations with their college dates; and still others wanted to play bingo or "Let's Make a Deal."
