Georgetown College men's and women's track and field went to Columbia, Ky. this past weekend and stacked a bunch of points and finished fifth in their respective Mid-South Conference Championships. Two new records were set on the women's side. Marissa Hale, Karina Egger, Miranda Mullins and Tayler Godar finished third in the 4x800-meter relay, but destroyed the school record by nearly nine seconds. The old mark of 10 minutes two seconds and 56 hundredths of a second fell as the foursome finished in 9:53.71. Jade Abbott's third place finish in the 400-meter run was also a new standard for Georgetown. The Tiger finished in 1:02.39 almost a full second faster than the 1:03.19 set in 2012.
